This year, APSP will combine two exciting learning experiences, the CSP Certified Service Professional Exam Prep Course, which helps to prepare candidates for the highest level professional certification in the pool & spa service industry, and the Technical Service Institute, our advanced seminar program designed to help service professionals stay abreast of the latest advances in the pool and spa industry.
Are you ready to seriously advance your Service Business?
Do you want to bring recognition to your company as one focused on employing staff of the highest caliber?
You can accomplish these goals by earning your Certified Service Professional (CSP) credential in conjunction with attending the APSP Technical Service Institute.
Advanced Training for Pool Service Providers
The Technical Services Institute is an information-packed, two-day program of 11 seminars for pool and spa service technicians and company owners, covering a variety of topics that will give you the tools you need to take your business to the next level of success. The seminar schedule is listed below and features instructors who will share their expertise in everything from handling staining issues, to salt water chlorine generation, to an in-depth examination of several start-up procedures. And it’s capped off with an amazing behind-the-scenes tour of the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef. Sponsored by the APSP Service Council, this unique schedule of seminars has been crafted by your industry colleagues to push your technical expertise to a higher level and make you the “go-to” solutions expert in your market.
Technical Service Institute and CSP Prep Course/Exam
You may register to take just the Technical Services Institute as part of your EXPO registration OR you may opt to combine attending the Institute with sitting for the CSP Certified Service Professional exam. This is a terrific opportunity to raise your professional profile in your market and set yourself apart from the competition. Please be aware that you must qualify to take the CSP exam and the program requirements are fully outlined and explained in the APSP CSP Application Package. Download the application package now to get all the specifics about the exam, including sample questions and study tips, as well as the application form. Essentially, to qualify to sit for the exam you must have 5 or more years of pool/spa industry experience and document a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education credits accumulated over the past 3 years. SPECIAL NOTE: If you attend the CSP instructor-led exam prep course (5 hours) and the Technical Services Institute (16 hours), those hours can be counted as 21 hours toward your 24 hour continuing education requirement. This is a unique opportunity to qualify using CE credits earned immediately!
