In addition to the PSP Expo core conference program, we have partnered with the industry's leading associations to offer these certification and specialty educational programs.

Registration for any of these programs includes admission to the course, access to the exhibit hall, a Conference Super Pass,  and admission to the Welcome Party. All events and sessions require pre-registration.

NSPF Certified Pool-Spa Operator® (CPO) Certification

The National Swimming Pool Foundation 2 day CPO® Certification course is the leading education and certification program for pool and spa operators, engineers, service company professionals, health officials, retailers, property owners and other professionals who help protect aquatic venues. This is a basic licensure-level program which satisfies the educational requirement for commercial pool and spa operators in many jurisdictions and follows industry best practices. Successful completion of this program will result in the student achieving the designation of Certified Pool-Spa Operator® Certification and will prepare the student to appropriately and safely operate a commercial pool and/or spa. The certification is valid for 5 years.

Hours: 16 Technical Credit Hours, 1.6 IACET CEUs

ASA Contractor's Qualification Seminar

Thursday, November 1

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

This program is a requirement for all concrete pool builders wishing to pursue certification as an ACI Shotcrete Nozzleman through ASA. Also, appropriate for pool contractors, project managers and supervisors using Shotcrete on their pool projects. 

National Plasterers Council Start-Up Certification (NPC)

Wednesday, October 31

8:00 am - 5:00 pm

This is a 9-hour program that will certify an individual in the National Plasterers Council industry method of properly starting up the water chemistry and care of a newly surfaced swimming pool and/or spa.

The course will cover five primary areas: The History and Chemistry of Swimming Pool Surfaces, Understanding Water Chemistry, Using a Water Test Kit, Start-Up Procedures and Start-Up Problems and Solutions. The course will include a test in the proper methods of testing water and conclude with a sixty (60) minute written test.

National Plasterers Council Start-Up Recertification (NPCR)

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The NPC requires all certified start-up technicians to be re-certified every three years. The recertification program will review the essentials of good start-up practices learned during the original start-up class as well as review the latest changes to the NPC Start-up card. Each student will learn how to "test their test kits" with standard reference solutions. In addition, focus will be placed on the method of calculations required to determine the carbonate alkalinity required to calculate the Langelier Saturation Index. A short 25 question exam will be given at the end of the class. The instructor for this class is Greg Garrett who has taught the majority of the NPC Start-Up Classes.

NSPF Advanced Service Technician (AST)® Certification
