A client has recently purchased a piece of property in Central Texas to build their dream home on. After living in several different locations in the last 10 years due to jobs, they have finally found a landing spot in which they will be at for the foreseeable future and want to take advantage of their new location. After searching through several pieces of property, they picked a 20 acre tract of land which was 30 minutes outside of a major city but with enough elevation that they had views of the watershed below and also the city skyline in the distance.
Students will be entered within the general competition and will be eligible to win multiple spots in the design competition, however one will be named as the award winning finalist. The selected finalist's design work will be presented at the International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo 2018 along with the other finalists.
Students may work as an individual or do it as a group project. If you choose to enter it as a group project, you must submit it under one student name and he/she will list the others in the group. The named student will be the presenter at the class and will receive any awards and/or airfare & tickets to the show.
The whole group may be in the video presentation. See the Contest Entry Rules for submitting files and to receive contest scenario. The student design will be included in the class vote for the "Top Designer" award along with the other finalists. Student Deadline: September 14, 2018
