The International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo™, co-located with Deck Expo (PSP/Deck Expo) is proud to continue our Sustainability Program at the 2024 event. We recognize our trade show has an impact on the environment and we are striving to identify, understand, and address these impacts to achieve continual improvement year after year.
Guided by the Informa Markets FasterForward Program, PSP/Deck Expo 2024 will strive to improve the sustainability of the pool, spa, patio, decking, and outdoor living Industry and our events.
Our Three Pledges
How Did We Do At PSP/Deck Expo 2023?
Last year, we challenged our attendees, exhibitors, partners, and vendors to be the most sustainable! Here are some initiatives we implemented in 2023!
What We Did:
- Donated $25,000 to Step Into Swim, PHTA's initiative to promote water safety
- Recycled printed signage – As an annual event, we made sure to develop printed materials that can be reused or recycled.
- Reduced printed materials & implemented digital wayfinding – We heavily reduced printed materials and event guides in favor of using the mobile app. We also made the expo hall floor plan and agenda available via digital kiosks.
- Replaced single-use water bottles – We gave our staff and speakers reusable water bottles instead of single-use plastic
- containers.
- Donated trees to the city of Las Vegas – After they were used in the park spaces onsite.
- Launched "Blossom & Lead" pavilion on the show floor, which had five classes geared toward women in the industry.
- Bring a reusable water bottle, coffee cup and a reusable straw to PSP/Deck Expo to help reduce single-use products.
- Consider walking or biking whenever possible or use public transportation for longer distances. If you do use a shared ride service such as Uber, Lyft, or a taxi. The company that carpools together, stays together!
- During your hotel stay, take advantage of the linen/towel reuse programs and turn off lights and televisions when not in the room.
- Responsibly dispose of waste materials by recycling at the convention center, at your hotel and wherever recycling bins are found throughout the city.
- Opt to use the PSP/Deck Expo mobile app onsite instead of the printed show guide to help reduce paper consumption.
